CASTLE LINDERHOF
The "Royal Villa"
Linderhof Castle, also called the "Royal Villa", is the third castle of King Ludwig II, alongside the Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau castles. It is located about 45 minutes by car from Schwangau in the Upper Bavarian town of Ettal.
The castle, built between 1869 and 1886, is the only one of these three castles to have a beautiful garden with various fountains and an underground grotto.
